I think that President Trump is certainly heralding this peace deal as not just a short term ceasefire, but a bedrock for long lasting peace in the region... assuming everything goes well with the prisoner exchange, I think that we've got the kernel of something that can be built upon for the future.

It's clear this was a United States led initiative. Trump is getting the hero's welcome from the Israeli public and Arab leaders but not from Netanyahu and his war cabinet.

Netanyahu's domestic position is untenable. There were massive protests before the war and with the war now over, voices clamoring for change are louder.

Hamas still controls essential apparatus in Gaza. Reconstruction and reintegration will be challenging with potential reprisals and political complexities.

The markets are volatile reflecting geopolitical uncertainty and trade tensions but some stabilization is visible with hopes of compromise on tariffs.
